“Whether you require a full-time civil labourer, one-off placement, or a whole team, they provide highly-skilled, reliable, and safety-focused labour with a great work ethic for our civil labour needs.”
“Harrison Barratt Group transparency and honesty have created a new golden standard for us. I can genuinely say, I have never had a labour hire be so honest about their capabilities — never ones to over-promise. Things like this go a long way and are what keeps us going back to Seb and the HBG Team.”
“You guys have been extremely helpful on short notice. I think we have only ever had one issue in which Sebastian was able to get fixed up within the day. Very impressed over the last 6 months with HBG. By far the most consistent labour hire company we have used.”
“We came across Harrison Barratt Group via a Google search. At the time, our current provider let us down three times in a row on a major project. HBG was able to send 3 asbestos workers within one hour. We have been working with them ever since.”
“Working with HBG has transformed our approach to staffing. Their ability to provide skilled personnel even on short notice has kept our projects on track and within budget. I’m particularly impressed with their commitment to safety and diversity in the workplace.”

Straight answers on how HBG operates, what we supply, and how to engage us. Every answer below is server-rendered so the information is present without JavaScript.
Harrison Barratt Group (HBG) is a nationally licensed Australian labour hire and recruitment agency founded in 2018 in Sydney. HBG supplies trades, general labourers, and permanent white-collar staff to construction, civil, manufacturing, logistics, and traffic-management clients across Australia and New Zealand.
HBG has offices in Sydney (HQ), Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Auckland. Workers are deployed to sites across every Australian state and territory, and across all New Zealand regions. Labour-hire licences are held in NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, and ACT.
Labour hire covers carpenters, scaffolders, welders, riggers, dogmen, forklift operators, crane operators, bricklayers, boilermakers, pipelayers, asbestos removalists, traffic controllers, and general (white card) labourers. Permanent recruitment covers site managers, project managers, contract administrators, estimators, engineers, foremen, and construction directors across tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 contractors.
For common trades and general labourers in metro Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Auckland, HBG can typically mobilise workers within a few hours during business hours, and often same-day. Specialist trades (e.g. licensed asbestos removalists, high-risk-work-licence operators) may require 24 hours notice depending on site location and licence requirements.
Labour-hire charge-out rates vary by trade, skill level, location, shift pattern, and site conditions. All HBG workers are paid at or above the relevant Modern Award, with penalty rates, superannuation, workers’ compensation, and portable long-service-leave contributions costed in. Request a written quote via the contact page or call 1300 HBG 24/7 for a specific figure. HBG does not publish blended rate cards because rates are trade- and site-specific.
HBG employs the worker directly. Clients receive a weekly invoice covering the worker’s hours multiplied by the agreed charge-out rate. The charge rate is inclusive of the worker’s wage, superannuation, workers’ compensation insurance, portable long-service-leave contributions (where applicable), payroll administration, and HBG’s margin. Clients do not pay the worker directly and do not carry the payroll or WHS-employer risk.
Yes. HBG maintains a pool of 10,800+ inducted, job-ready workers. Every worker is verified for right-to-work status, holds a current General Construction Induction (white card) where the site requires it, has a documented WHS induction on file, and has completed HBG’s internal induction covering site conduct, PPE requirements, and reporting obligations. Trade-specific licences (high-risk work, EWP, forklift, asbestos, etc.) are held on file with current expiry tracking.
HBG services all Australian states and territories — NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, NT, and ACT — plus all regions of New Zealand. Local offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Auckland handle regional deployments across their state.
Yes. Harrison Barratt Group holds active labour-hire licences in every Australian state that operates a labour-hire licensing scheme — NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, and the ACT. HBG also holds a NSW Master Security Licence (000110684) for site-security services. Full licence numbers are published on the compliance page.
Submit a request via the contact form at https://www.harrisonbarratt.com.au/contact, email labourhire@harrisonbarratt.com.au (labour hire) or perm@harrisonbarratt.com.au (permanent), or call 1300 HBG 24/7. Include the trade or role, quantity of workers, site location, expected shift pattern, and start date. Written quotes are typically returned the same business day.
Register as a candidate at https://www.harrisonbarratt.com.au/apply. HBG will contact you for an induction session (in-person or remote), verify your right-to-work documentation, and check your trade tickets and licences. Once inducted, you’re added to HBG’s deployable pool and dispatched to sites based on your availability, skills, and location.
Three practical differences: (1) HBG’s Managing Director still recruits daily, meaning market pricing and availability are known first-hand rather than filtered through account managers; (2) HBG’s recruiters specialise by sector — a construction consultant does not also handle warehouse roles; (3) HBG runs its own technology stack (JobAdder ATS, in-house LinkedIn automation, AI-assisted candidate matching) so a job order moves from received-to-workers-on-site in hours, not days.
